For the love of Dandelions...
I found a new to me challenge blog! https://dayofthemonthcardclub.blogspot.com/
This month is celebrating Dandelion Day.
Of course, when I was young, I enjoyed blowing the little puffs into the air and make a wish.
I can't say that I like the flowers in my yard any more, but I do have dandelion stamps that remind me of those tiny puffs blowing away. So here is my card:
The stamps are very old stamps from Great Impressions. There is glitter on the floating puffs that don't show in the pic. I cut out a few extra ones and attached with blue staples, just for color. Used a gel pen for dots in the corners of the image, 'cause those corners looked too plain. Then decided not to overdo things which sometimes I have a tendency to do.
That's it....enjoy your own dandelions....

Happy Easter!
I have been thinking of this sketch #384 from Freshly Made Sketches for a few days:
Okay, I turned it sideways to fit my plan.
And, instead of doing a bunny card for Easter, I made a different card.
I have gno idea why, except this particular gnome brings me JOY.
The stamps are from StampingBella.
He was colored with pencils and glitter was added to the posies and that tiny neighborhood caterpillar.
I used an embossing folder (Woodland) and leaf and oval dies, and a tiny flower punch. The cardstock is Papertrey Ink ocean tides, pink, and white. LOVE that sentiment....
That's it for today....Do what brings You JOY!

A Sketch Challenge
I have been working on this challenge off and on for 5 days.. Really had me stumped. I finally decided to just do it.
Here is the sketch #316 from CAS(E) This Sketch
Here is my card:

Here is my card:
For my image, I chose this floating dog with his balloon. I thought that he needed a hillside (which I did turn that panel the opposite way, according to the sketch). Well, then I had to add some Spring flowers. ;^). I didn't know what to do with the sentiment, so I put the Yappy Birthday in the clouds.
The dog image is from Penny Black (Buddy & Duck), He was cut out with a Scan-n-Cut, colored with pencils, and Nuvo crystal glaze was put on the balloon.
This card is going to a dog....yes, a real dog, whose human mom is going through a rough time right now, and this card will make her smile. It is from my dog to her dog.
That's all for today
Have a Yappy Day!

Scrappy Books
My day was so exciting. I met a new crafty friend! She brought me several of her amazing fabric books. This is one of them. It is about 6 1/2 inches square and full of so many different design elements that I am unable to list all of them here.
Here is the front cover page:
Love the felt cat's googly eyes and in her mouth is a tiny mouse trinket (clever). I love the freestyle of the fabric designs and different stitches.
Next page:
The frayed edges are so cool. I am a neat freak and I appreciate styles that I am unable to create. My brain just doesn't work that way.
Next page:
Love the crazy tags on the sides to turn the pages. On the mummy's casket is a tiny window that when opened, you will be surprised to see a skeleton head button! And on the corner of the next page, next to the chicken fabric are 3 tiny buttons that are stitched with chicken feet!
If I had to pick a favorite page, it would be this one. It just gave me an instant smile. The googly eyes on the left and crazy stitching. And on the right, that dotted clothespin caught my eye. Also, in that little green pocket was a small surprise gift that I removed and will keep forever.
This is the back side. That cat patch is the perfect ending to this neatly designed little fabric book. My pictures do not do this happy, scrappy book justice. You have to enlarge it on your computer screen to view all of the CRAZY, WILD elements that she included in this book. If you are interested in making one of these and have any questions, just e-mail me.
Until next time,
Appreciate the talent of others and Smile.

A Butterfly Hello!
Here is this week's sketch #382 at Freshly Made Sketches,
Here is my card:
It is going to someone who loves flowers and butterflies.
The cardstock is a natural ivory which is a creamy color. Looks more white in the pic.
Stamped flowers, colored them with pencils, and added Stickles (stardust). Used a butterfly die and added red string. The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug (modern vines) and the sentiment was heat embossed.
When I was walking outside in the sunshine today, I was thinking how I am really looking forward to seeing some butterflies.
Wishing you a pretty day too.

Happy Mail!
I received a gorgeous card in the mail today from our daughter!
The flowers were cut out with her Scan-n-Cut which left ALL of those tiny pieces free. She colored those pieces with markers and glued them ALL back in....and then added glitter to them. I would have lost a tiny piece or two, and then probably lose my mind looking for them. Looks amazing in real life....
She said that the butterfly is covering up a smudge....you know how that happens and you don't want to throw your work away and start over....
Sometimes smudges work out great, and I am glad that I received this happy Spring card.
So maybe Spring weather really will be here soon....

An Udderly Fantastic Day
For today's challenge at Splitcoaststampers is to use humor, since it is April 1st.
I have a friend who is a retired dairy farmer, so I am always on the lookout for cow stamps.
This cow image is perfect for her, and will definitely make her smile, and maybe even make her jump and "moo" on her birthday.
That thought just made me laugh, because she has had bilateral knee replacements and wouldn't even think of jumping any more. We were both high school cheerleaders, 55 years ago (gasp), and I don't jump any more either, and that's okay...
Anyway, here's what I did today:
I used stamps from Art Impressions - Udderly Fantastic clear set. The cardstock is a ruby red with scraps of blue and green and some patterned paper. Other items used are dies: fence, grass, and a small rectangle. The fence was stamped with a weathered background for texture. I colored the cow with Prismacolor pencils and cut it out with the Scan-n-Cut. That's it....
