I need to make some cards for some Spring birthdays, so when I saw this sketch at The Paper Players :

I created this:

I used a Gina K Designs stamp set - Sending Love -  which was colored with Copics and Nuvo Aqua Shimmer added to the flowers. The butterfly "flew" in from my stash of stamps. The sentiment was heat embossed. The cardstocks are saffron yellow, white, and black. Love this sketch which has so many possibilities. And now I really am tired of winter and ready for Spring.....

Thanks for visiting....

Yay...Another Christmas card done...thanks to this sketch #452 at Freshly Made Sketches

Here is my card:

I used a CottageCutz die (Holly Bells) and a panel die from The Greetery. The base cardstock is a lovely Pinefeather green from Papertrey. Lightly sponged the olive green holly and put crystal effects on the berries. The sentiment is from my stash of old stamps.....That's it!
Thanks for looking in...

 Just bee-cause I wanted to do a sketch -

My card:

I turned the sketch on its side to accomplish my mission.

I used a MFT stamp set - Meant to Be.

That's it......Thanks for looking in....

A happy day to get a start on this year's Christmas cards.
We have quite a few friends with doggies in their families so that is where I began.

I am happy to join My Favorite Things for this weeks sketch challenge, which happens to be number 500. WOW! I was inspired by this sketch and here is the link to it:   https://mftstamps.com/blogs/news/wsc500

Here is that sketch:

Here is my Christmas card:

The image is from the MFT stamp set Happy Pawlidays and the sentiment is from Deck the Howls (retired). The dog was colored with polychromos pencils, cut out and layered and glitter put on the white of the hat. I put him on the left side instead of the right. I was going to add those images you see below the card, but I liked the card just the way it was, so I will put them on the inside of the card....I do like this sketch and will definitely use it again. Thanks to My Favorite Things! And thanks for looking in.....PaddySue

I have just a little gray hare today.....

Saw a sketch challenge that I thought - no way can I think that one through.

Here is that sketch at : Freshly Made Sketches

I also saw the challenge #559 at : Little Red Wagon - Spots or Stripes
So,
Anyway, a challenge is just that, and here is what I came up with:

Was happy to use a super cute stamp set from Reverse Confetti called Crafty Critters. The sweet bunny with the polka-dot dress was colored with Faber-Castell pencils. She was having a good hair day (correction, a good hare day), so I put a flower by her ear. I cut out those small images by hand - and I lost those images several times, and spent time trying to find them and actually had to re-do a few of them. I almost gave up.....One of those days.....good grief ....Also used the quilted hearts embossing folder from Sugar Pea with neat tiny dots and hearts on it and hexagon dies from I don't remember. That's it! THANKS for looking in.....PaddySue

Yay - I needed a nice sketch to get my mojo going again. I have been ignoring just too many challenges lately and I am afraid I just might forget why I have all of these stamps...

Here is the sketch that caught my eye this week at: Freshly Made Sketches

I needed a card for my young grandson who thinks that he really is one hot dude. He lives in Arizona and he has a little chihuahua.  So this is what I came up with:

I used a stamp set from Hero Arts and Faber-Castell pencils. Nice and easy....just what I needed....I never make square cards, and because of that, I almost did not make this one. But now I am glad I did, 'cause now I think that this is kinda cute....It is 5 inches square.
Thanks for looking......

A Butterfly Hello!

Here is this week's sketch #382 at Freshly Made Sketches,

Here is my card:

It is going to someone who loves flowers and butterflies.
The cardstock is a natural ivory which is a creamy color. Looks more white in the pic.
Stamped flowers, colored them with pencils, and added Stickles (stardust). Used a butterfly die and added red string. The embossing folder is by Cuttlebug (modern vines) and the sentiment was heat embossed.

When I was walking outside in the sunshine today, I was thinking how I am really looking forward to seeing some butterflies.

Wishing you a pretty day too.

Getting Serious about using Stuff

This blog was started to hold me accountable for my accumulation of  card making supplies.
Over the years, collecting stuff was truly enjoyable, but now I need to really focus on using all of these pretty things.

For me, the hardest part is designing a layout. Otherwise, my cards may all look the same. So I found CAS(E) this Sketch which is a weekly challenge, and the fact that the cards need to be clean and simple is a challenge for me as well. SO, I will see how this might just work for me. Just maybe, I could create a card in a day, instead of taking several days for ONE card. You don't know this, but I am a very slow card maker.....

Here is this week's sketch #315

Here is my card:

I used the Bouquet Builder stamp set from Waffle Flower. It was colored with Copic markers and I wasn't real thrilled with the way it looked so I added more color with Luminance pencils.  I still need some practice which is the part that I enjoy....always learning something new. It was cut out with a Scan-n-Cut. (a wonderful Christmas present).
The cardstock is artichoke green, black, and white. Other sweet supplies are an embossing folder (dotted lattice from Taylored Expressions), rectangle die, green organdy ribbon, and Nuvo aqua shimmer glitter on the flower (must have glitter on a flower).

So far so good, I think.
Three cards in one week is VERY good for me to use my stuff!

Hope you make something pretty with your supplies today.

Hello there,

This week's sketch, #381 at Freshly Made Sketches is a good one.
If you would like to play along, here is what it looks like:

For my card, I rotated the sketch 90 degrees.

The fern image is an older Hero Arts stamp. It was inked with Hero Arts Unicorn white ink onto a blue cardstock and heat embossed with Hero Arts white satin pearl embossing powder (Looks so pretty IRL).

The cardstock colors are retired SU blue bayou and river rock, and Papertrey Ink smokey shadow.
Also used was a strip of patterned paper, label punch, piercing tool, and a dragonfly die.

That's it.
Thanks for looking in!

May your basket of papers always be full.
