Just thinking of an old-fashion sleigh ride - and another Christmas card finished...

For today's card, an old background stamp from Stampendous was stamped onto parchment paper with espresso ink. Then it was cut into 5 strips and mounted onto espresso c/s and then meadow green  and then onto cherry c/s.  The sleigh and tree dies are from Papertrey Ink.  All of the edges of the strips and dies were lightly sponged with kraft ink. Put glitter on the star- I think I need to improve on that star. It doesn't show up very well. Other items used - burlap ribbon, dk. green twine, star and bow punches, and an old Hero Arts greeting.

I am entering this into several challenges:

Double D - Silhouette challenge        and     Happy Little Stampers - Anything goes with dies

Here is the inside of the card:

The cardinal die is from an Impression Obsession set. The sentiment is an old one from my old stash, and the tree is SU retired Lovely as a Tree.
That's all folks....

Just a winter card for this challenge:

Christmas Kickstart #21

The theme is Woodland Creatures...

I used a Penny Black background stamp - Winter Song. It was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with Ranger liquid platinum embossing powder onto white cardstock. The edges were sponged with Tumbled Glass distress ink and the panel was layered onto retired SU Indigo blue cardstock. The Warm Wishes is from a die......................That's about it...............Patty Sue
Just a good day to be working on Christmas cards.

I am sharing today's card with a new to me challenge  - here: Happy Little Stampers Christmas

A pretty simple Christmas card:

The Merry Christmas was made with a Memory Box die. The tree image is a 50cent stamp that I've had for about 50 years...almost....It was inked with Hunter green pigment ink and heat embossed with green tinsel embossing powder, so it really sparkles, IRL. The star is gold glittery cardstock made with an old star punch...So I am off to assemble some more of these. I am having a pretty lazy day, so quick and easy is just what I need.  Thanks a lot for looking in.....Patty Sue

Just another Christmas card done!

I am entering this in a challenge here: the Paper Players challenge

I happen to have a large die that I haven't used very much...well, 'cause it really is big.

The Merry Christmas is made with a Memory Box die.  I've had this fun Snoopy/Woodstock stamp forever - it was colored with Copics and Nuvo glitter drops added for sparkle.  The main card is a Pinefeather green from PTI.  I will be making more of these cards for all of my friends with doggies. But, Snoopy makes everyone smile, right?!  That's it!  Thanks for looking in.....Patty Sue

It's Time for PUMPKINS!

What a wonderful time of year! I'm ready for some pumpkin pie...I think that if I made one, I could eat the whole thing....so, I won't make one. I'll just think about it.
I found several challenges that made me happy:

Little Red Wagon challenge #517 - Pumpkin Party

                                                         and

Just Us Girls #508 - designer paper

SO, I made a designer paper pumpkin. No calories.

I used several pumpkin dies and a leaf die from Papertrey Ink with PTI patterned paper. Sponged lightly around the edges and glued to the front panel with Ranger multi medium matte glue. The pumpkin die cuts so many pieces that I can make several more of these. Though, I have decided that instead of using a real button, I would try cutting some paper buttons so the card would go through the mail easier. I did use a SU background stamp on the leaves - Weathered. And the card does have a back panel that is scored to open for the sentiment.

That's all for today....now to make a few more paper pumpkins and clean up all the paper pieces, ....Thanks for visiting....

Happy World Card Making Day!

My card today is for two (new to me ) challenges:

The Flower Challenge #37                                   And Watercooler Wednesday #241

The flower challenge is to make a flower card that is clean and simple which is not easy for me to do. I love CAS when others do it, but I tend to keep adding stuff to a card......The Watercooler challenge is to make it feminine, so I chose a lovely flower set from Altenew called Amazing You.

On the white panel, I first used an embossing folder from Lifestyle Crafts on the top and bottom, leaving a blank space for the flower. Then I turned this cardstock over onto a scoring board to score along the edge of the embossing to give it that finished look. The image was colored with Copics and the flower and one leaf was cut-out and layered and Nuvo Aqua Shimmer applied. Sentiment added with SU window punch, and the panel layered onto black cardstock and then a green. While everything was out on my table, I spent the rest of my afternoon making 4 more of these cards for my stash, leaving the sentiment off until I needed the card. That's it.....and thanks for looking in! Pattysue

Old stamp - New Challenges

I discovered 2 new (to me) challenges....which gave me a reason to use up some long neglected stash.
Retro Rubber and The Card Concept
The picture with the busy wallpaper and dishware reminded me of this old SU designer paper of long ago and an old wood mounted stamp from Penny Black. I have removed the wood and cling mounted it so I do not know how old it is....It is called Letters & Flowers. My cards:

Actually, I am in the process of making more of these so as to FINALLY use up this designer paper once and for all. Good grief! Other items used are a Martha Stewart butterfly punch, tiny pearls,  Cuttlebug and Nestability dies, jute ribbon, blues, kraft, and vanilla cardstocks, dk. gray and kraft ink pads, blue pencil, and a Coke Zero  ;^) . Thanks for looking in......
