While working on making Christmas cards, I thought I would share at the Color Hues challenge #53 with the colors of scarlet and green. I just realized that this challenge ends in the morning, so here is my card:

I used a poinsettia image that has been in my stash for many years which was cut out and layered.  It was colored with copics, Nuvo aqua shimmer applied, dsp, white and artichoke c/s, and artichoke taffeta ribbon. TFL!

Just a fun card that I have been wanting to make for a long time - ever since I bought a stamp set that only has images of different faces that you can stamp on whatever you want.

I had the large lined paper background stamp forever, pencil and pen stamp set, and hole punch die and just had to put it all together:

The pen n pencil were colored with pencils, cut out and layered. Then I cut out and layered the eyes which had crystal effects added. They look so happy and make me smile. Guess they know it is time to go back to school....

The upper corner seemed empty, so I found a small doo-dad like paper clip and punched a heart and added it there. The dsp and c/s is retired Marina Mist from SU.

I am sharing this with:

Thanks for much for looking in!

Hello there! It has been a very long time since I posted something, so when I saw the challenge at The Paper Players, I was encouraged to play.  I have quite a lot of birds and bee stamps.....

So I made a BEE HAPPY card:

I have always loved these bees from There She Goes.  They were colored with Copics and Nuvo glitter gloss applied to the wings and flowers. The honeycomb die is by Tim Holtz. The images were cut out with a scan-n-cut. The extra pieces will go on the inside....

While "cleaning" my stamp room today, I came across an old Penny Black stamp that I keep to make quick cards with.

And I saw a nice sketch that it fits into easily, so I just had to make this card:

Items used - pencils, twine, dotted ribbon, nestabilities, and crystal effects on the balloon which doesn't show up in this pic - grrr

While re-arranging my patterned paper today, I came across a pretty one...so instead of continuing to clean my stamp room, I decided to make a card.

Isn't that what you would do?

Besides, I saw a neat sketch earlier in the week and have been thinking about it...so this is what I made:

Here is that sketch:
This bunny image is from Mama Elephant - Fuzzy Hugs - colored with pencils and I put a tiny flower on her head....The base cardstock is an eggplant color which looks better IRL than in this pic...grrrr

Just trying to learn how to make CAS cards which is not easy for me, but I definitely will continue to try. I found a new to me challenge with the prompt to make a one layer card with flowers. So here is my card:

I masked off the top and bottom with post-it notes. Stamped the three flower image with versamark twice and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. Sponged the area with a blue ink. Removed the post-it notes and stamped the flower image and sentiment in a dark blue ink. Used a corner punch to round the corners and done.....I am pleased with how this card turned out. The white c/s is Gina K designs heavy white which has a nice smooth finish on it.

It isn't often that I can finish a card in one day, but I found a new to me blog with a sketch that just fit my needs:

I needed a card for someone who injured their back while painting their house and now they aren't doing much of anything....so here is my social distancing get well little bear:

and the inside:

Well -

I know it will make the person smile - in spite of what is going on all around us.

The stamp set is from Lawn Fawn. The stamps were cut-out and layered and I put crystal effects on the sanitizer bottle. I tried to add an additional something to the front of this card, but nuttin' seemed to work right. I do realize that not every card needs to be fancy schmancy as long as it gets in the mail. This card hasta go in the mail today, so it is what it is.

 Thanks for looking in!

Just spending the day making a few Valentines for friends:

And I am definitely needing to use up some very old patterned paper.
Other papers used are vanilla, autumn rose, and a suede brown. Other things used are Nestabilities, die cuts, embossing folders, ribbon, twine, gems, and pearls, etc. Wasn't sure which way I wanted the layout to be, so I did it both ways.

Thanks for looking in...
